Americans are coping with unemployment, hunger, and housing insecurity at levels that rival the Great Depression, according to Mimi Abramovitz, the Bertha Capen Reynolds Professor of Social Work at Hunter College and a professor of social welfare at The Graduate Center, CUNY.
