Growing up is tough no matter your age. The expectations for the parent and the child are steep and risky. Raising everyday heroes can be a blessing and a curse.

There are many rewards when you are willing to put in lots of love, patience, frustration, and grace.

It's the elbow grease of parenthood.

That energy and elbow grease everyday heroes.

Now most of us don't see our children as heroes, but God does. When they make the littlest decision to do what is right; to love, to share, to obey, to speak up, to comfort, to listen. That's heroes in God's eyes.

"Doing the simple things show heaven on earth."

Sometimes we look for the grandioso hero --- someone bigger than ourselves. And yes, we have those in police officers, firefighters , military personnel.

Who are we forgetting? Our children. God sees children as His precious gifts.

"Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matthew 18:3

God's everyday heroes.

When you see your child as God sees him/her, you see the hero within you.

It's not about the tantrum at the grocery store or the spilt milk in the kitchen.

You are called to raise everyday heroes.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Raise up everyday heroes!

1. SEE the possibilities not the mistakes. Heavenly expectations.
2. TEACH with the heart of God through your actions and words.
3. LOVE unconditionally.
