Brandon Lay is a Country Music singer/songwriter best known for his single Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers. Brandon joins Country Music Made Me to discuss growing up in Jackson, Tennessee where he was focused more on sports than music, how encouragement from his first guitar teacher led him down a path towards a career in Country Music, and the role Johnny Cash played in weekly church services. Brandon and Brendan talk about the importance of not getting comfortable with where you're at in your career and continuing to push forward towards new opportunities.
