Today we will be learning about the words Bond and Declare.

The word bond is spelled as B-O-N-D. Bond can be used as a verb and as a noun. The noun definition of bond is the relationship between two or multiple groups or people based off of feelings, interest, or experience. A bond can be a friendship bond, relationship bond, or a physical bond. A sentence with the noun version of bond can be “The bond that the friends shared was based off of their dislike for potatoes.” The sentence is indicating the relationship stemming from an area of mutual interest.

The definition of verb form of bond is to join something together especially with an adhesive substance, heat, or pressure. The form of the verb can be changed depending on the tense of the subject. Some synonyms for bon can be joint, fasten, or attach. An example with a sentence can be “Sarah had to apply pressure on the materials for them to bond.”

The word declare is spelled as D-E-C-L-A-R-E. Declare is a verb, therefore it changes form based on the tense of the sentence. Declare means publicly announce. It is usually formal and has importance. A government official can declare a law or a couple can declare their pregnancy. It is a word that can be used in all different types of situations. It is a more formal way of letting everyone know everything. An example with a sentence can be, “The referee declared the foul after reviewing it.” In the sentence, declare is used to say that the referee formally made an announcement about the foul.
