In this podcast interview, Dr. Robert Yoho, whistleblower and author of Butchered by Healthcare and Hormone Secrets, reveals the failings of psychiatry to deal with the growing mental health pandemic - mainly due to pharmaceutical company dominance over mainstream medical and hospital systems, which do not address the issues or heal the ailment. Whether it's uppers or downers, dopamine or serotonin promoters, or opioid painkillers, they generate a lot of massive profits for the drug companies, but not much joy for the patient who faces addiction, a worsening of their physical health, and shortening of their lifespan. It is a pharmaceutical business model based on maintaining disease, not eliminating it. Isn't it time now that we used our sophisticated technologies to develop better diagnostic systems and treatment protocols that focus on pathology of brain function, as in neurobiology?
