This week's EYE ON NPI is caring and sensitive... Conductive Containers' Corstat® (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/c/conductive-containers/conductive-pcb-mailers) and PillowStat (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/c/conductive-containers/pillowstat-injection-molded-component-cases) mailers are soft and ESD-safe, so they will never break your heart or give your delicate electronics a nasty shock! After manufacturing, you'll need to get your boards to a final manufacturing or packaging facility. Or, your boards may be sold 'bare' to the end user. That's where these mailers come in to save the day: they are durable, and fully ESD-safe with coated cardboard and foam. We've seen chips and displays arrive to us in Corstat mailers, but it somehow never crossed our minds that we could buy them off the shelf! Conductive Containers (https://www.digikey.com/en/supplier-centers/conductive-containers) are experts at ESD things of all shapes, sizes and extrusions. We're doing a 2-for-1 on this EYE ON NPI, highlighting both their 'convoluted pink foam' (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/c/conductive-containers/conductive-pcb-mailers) and 'flat black folding-mailers' (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/c/conductive-containers/pillowstat-injection-molded-component-cases) If you have special packaging needs, you can always contact CCI for custom sizing, but their 'off the shelf' packages come in a range of sizes and you can get them instantly in almost any quantity, thanks to their fabrication facilities in the US (CCI also makes all sorts of other ESD handling/storage items which we use here at Adafruit for holding reels and components.) We like that these boxes in that you don't have to antistat, bubble bag and separately box: it's an all-in-one step. And the boxes ship nice and flat, with good creases, so they're very fast to assemble. Digi-Key carries a wide size range of both Corstat® and PillowStat mailers (https://www.digikey.com/en/supplier-centers/conductive-containers) so full PCB assemblies and individual components can be packaged safely. Order any Conductive Containers from stock (https://www.digikey.com/short/vwpz3ht7) today and you can have packaging problems solved by tomorrow afternoon!
