Some veterans face a more personal battle on the homefront after they are discharged from military service. The Observer-Reporter will discuss the plight facing veterans upon coming home in a series of occasional stories that will focus on a variety of topics, including post-traumatic stress disorder, challenges of receiving adequate medical care and benefits, homelessness and a high rate of suicide.
