So it came to pass that we entered a new year and the plague raged on. Dr. Groove brings you a sublime set from Low, composed of their two most recent albums, working with the producer BJ Burton. Then, the follow up is a slow build up into a dance set.

Let’s hope for a better year to come eh in the Gramsci mode, ‘Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will.’

News: Baton down the hatches and strap yourself in, we expect this to get pretty bumpy and turbulent. Andrew tells us of a 5 day case average sits at 17,856. Let us call that 18k, and we have had 106,500 cases in the last week, and remember the special 10 day time lag, means that we should be seeing some serious pressures on the system, by the end of next week. Eveything is going up. So far we have seen 1.25% of cases being hospitalised so, that’s potentially over 1000 people needing hospitalisation potentially in the near future. What’s to be done? All we have heard is a changes in relation to isolation rules, but that is to get people back into the workforce, to keep the wheels on in hospitality. We now face into this peak, with alot of unknowns, and only boosters and vaccincations to protect us. In the UK, they think Covid 19 is in in in 25 of the population. In London, 1 in 15. We are potentially approaching or already at the same levels, but we cannot know, because the figures lie beyond out testing capabilities. Now, we await and see the size of this peak, whilst the media radio silence is maintained. Oh what a start to this new year.
