Health Brown is an associate professor of criminal justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and The Graduate Center, CUNY. He studies, among many other things, presidential transitions, which are governed by law. With the possibility that President Trump won’t be reelected in November, there is a question being asked for the first time in U.S. history: Will the presidential transition be peaceful?
