One of the many big questions I get in regards to mental health is, "How much of this is a spiritual issue and how much of it is physical or biological?" Well, today I'm excited to address some of these questions and more with my guest Dr. Matthew Stanford. We had an insightful discussion on a clinical and biblical approach to mental health.

We got to expound on important and highly requested topics such as medication, dynamics of spiritual warfare, living with a diagnoses and how that all interplays with a biblical perspective.

Dr. Stanford is CEO of the Hope and Healing Center & Institute in Houston, TX and adjunct professor of psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine and the Houston Methodist Hospital Institute for Academic Medicine. A fellow of the Association for Psychological Science he is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles in psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience. And his research on the interplay between psychology and issues of faith has been featured in such national publications as The New York Times, USA Today, and Christianity Today, as well as many news websites including Fox, MSNBC, Yahoo, and US News & World Report.
