Hello everyone and welcome to the JSAC STEMCast! Hosted by Sophia Huynh, this episode will feature incredible guest Dr. Sylvia Bartley who is a healthcare executive widely recognized as an advocate, and champion of social change, dedicated to eliminating health, education, and economic disparities. With a Ph.D. in Neurophysiology from St. Barts and The Royal London School of Medicine, she has a unique foundation of scientific research in neurophysiology and over twenty years of experience in the medical device industry with roles in training and marketing, physician education, philanthropy, and health equity.
Today, we will discuss her career and her journey in connecting two topics that might at first glance seem unrelated: science and spirituality.
