This is my first rant here on the podcast and I stumble around a little bit but give me a break it’s my first time! Anyhoo, I did jot down a few places where I thought there were some interesting points in this particular episode so take a look here at the notes and let me know what you guys think! Enjoy! :30 - Parenting is broken 1:40 - Environment we raise our children in will determine who they’re going to grow up to be. 2:20 - Let them. Speak - Do - Decide. Let them be a part of the experience. 2:50 - You’re not the only voice in your child’s life. 3:05 - We have to have conversations with our kids being empathetic to their context of the world that they experience. 3:25 - How I experienced a situation or how you experienced a situation and even the general consensus on what the “right“ thing to do is may or may not have an impact on the result of how our kids handle certain situations. And we have to be empathetic to that by guiding them, not forcing them. 3:45 - When we encourage and guide our children in how to process a situation it’s more valuable to them than just giving them the answer.
