In other words, your body is producing TOO much thyroid hormone. People ask me all of the time why I don't talk much about hyperthyroidism. The reason? Because most people who have hyperthyroidism end up with hypothyroidism and it has to do with the treatments available to hyperthyroid patients. This video breaks down the 3 stages of hyperthyroid treatment including the temporary phase with the use of anti thyroid medications, the permanent phase, and then the post treatment phase. The temporary phase is where you want to put most of your effort because you may be able to reverse your disease here. If you wait too long then this may not be an option for you and you will end up causing permanent damage to your thyroid either with thyroid surgery or with radioactive iodine ablation.
